http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=39736

Summary: Update jmeter-results-detail-report.xsl to work with new
                    jtl format
           Product: JMeter
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Main
        AssignedTo: jmeter-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: shahs@yahoo-inc.com

Here is an update of extras/jmeter-results-detail-report.xsl to allow it to work
with the new jtl file format. This also fixes a few bugs in the calculation of
throughput as well as working around min/max calculation issue using the default
ant xslt transformation task.

I now get the following failure with Java 1.4:

     [xslt] E:/EclipseWorkspaces/jmeter_R2.1/extras/jmeter-results-detail-report
_21.xsl:221:77: Fatal Error! Unknown error in XPath. Cause: java.lang.NullPointe
rException

Also, Java 1.5 now produces NaN and the duplicate entry as before.
The duplicate entry does not happen with the existing XSL sheet, the NaN does.

OK, I see what you mean about the NaN with Java 1.5.

Unfortunately, the updated patch does not work with Eclipse.

Please either create a unified diff patch, or failing that, just upload the
entire file.

I get the extra row even with the original xsl file currently in SVN using JDK
1.5. I'm not sure if it is even worth trying to accomodate JDK 1.4 and 1.5. I
tried the patched version with xmlstar and firefox 1.5 and the output is correct.

Ok, my bad. I've updated and cleaned up the patch. The min and max result in
NaN's for any dataset when using the built in xslt transformer in ant 1.6.5 on
Java 1.5.0_06. This happens for any dataset. Also this min/max should be
faster for larger datasets.

I've now had a look at the amended version.

Some of the changes are unnecessary, because they have already been fixed in the
current version.

Also, I'm not clear what the purpose of the changes to the min/max templates is.
As far as I'm aware, the current version in SVN works OK.

If, not please can you provide some sample data that fails with the current
version in the 2.1 branch?

It would help if you could redo the patch to work against
jmeter-results-detail-report_21.xsl (39060)

In my test the duplicate entry occurs with Java 1.5 with the existing XSL sheet.

The XSL fails with Java 1.4:

     [xslt] Loading stylesheet E:\EclipseWorkspaces\jmeter_R2.1\extras\jmeter-re
sults-detail-report_21.xsl

BUILD FAILED
java.lang.StackOverflowError

And with Java 1.5 the output contains some duplication.

I'll attach JTL and HTML

Going to close this enhancement as it appears to be too difficult to support
different buggy XSLT implementations.

It would not be too difficult to choose between multiple XSL stylesheets in the
Ant script, so if you can produce an XSL for 1.5 and/or 1.4 please re-open.
