I am looking into this for you. Can you please explain your need for these? 
We dont typically deploy the ASF wildcard cert on machines where non infra@ folks have root access.  

If you do genuinely need SSL, then we will likely need to purchase them.  

N.B.  Saying "it makes the site look more professional" may not be justification enough.
