I think we should have a link to "Building Bigtop on the home page"
The page ends with:

h3. All required tools will be installed by ./gradlew toolchain
However place supply a suitable JRE (for instance openjdk7) first
h3. Continuous Integration
Apache Bigtop uses Jenkins for continuous integration testing (you can learn more about Jenkins [here|http://jenkins-ci.org/] ). There is a Jenkins server currently running for the project:
