[jira] [Created] (SAMZA-239) docs: add information about how to create stream partitions

Tyson Norris created SAMZA-239:
----------------------------------

Summary: docs: add information about how to create stream partitions
                 Key: SAMZA-239
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SAMZA-239
             Project: Samza
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: docs
    Affects Versions: 0.7.0
            Reporter: Tyson Norris
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: 0.8.0

It would be nice to help understand how stream partitions are created.

something like:

Stream Partition Configuration

Stream partitioning is based on the input stream system partitions. So for example to partition stream tasks based on kafka, the kafka topics need to be partitioned, e.g. either by specifying the number of partitions when the topic is created, or using the num.partitions config in kafka's server.properties
