[jira] Created: (DIRSTUDIO-22) Implement specific editors for user, organizational unit and group.

Implement specific editors for user, organizational unit and group.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: DIRSTUDIO-22
                 URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSTUDIO-22
             Project: Directory LDAP Studio
          Issue Type: New Feature
            Reporter: Ersin Er

Users (inetOrgPerson), Groups (groupOfNames, groupOfUniqueNames) and Organizational Units (organizationalUnit) are the most frequently created/edited in a regular directory deployment. It would be nice to have specific editors for these types. For more idea on this you may have a look at Fedora Directory Server's admin console.

> Users (inetOrgPerson), Groups (groupOfNames, groupOfUniqueNames, groupOfURLs) and Organizational Units (organizationalUnit) are the most frequently created/edited entries in a regular directory deployment. It would be nice to have specific editors for these types of entries. (So as you see, these are not simple value editors, but special entry editors based on entry object class.)
> Some ideas (not originally mine):
> * The User editor may display a picture of the user (if any exists) at the top left/right corner.
> * The Group editor should be able to handle both static and dynamic groups, so it should also provide a filter editing capability for dynamic groups.
> (For more ideas on this you may have a look at Fedora Directory Server's admin console.)

Although this old feature request would be great, it looks slightly abandoned by the age of the task. A smaller incremental step might be possible as detailed in DIRSTUDIO-626

The idea here can be extended to any type of entries, like Stored Procedures, Subentries, and even Directory Suffixes (a right click on the RootDSE can display a Create New Suffix menu item.) Also having a base system for such extensions would also be nice as the one we have for value editors: http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/DIRxSTUDIO/Value+Editor+Extension+Point
