Yes, the shell goes through the normal client interfaces, so I'm not expecting a problem. Our unit tests look pretty sparse in this area, though.
Let me know what you want to do. I can verify certain commands too if you want.

I'm going to close as not a problem. I took a looksee at shell and it seems to basically work. Rather than have this general issue w/o specifics, lets open specific issues as we encounter them on our shell travels? Good on you lads.

I can go through and verify some of it. I would hope that our unit tests would cover most of it. :-) The shell seems to go through all of the normal client interfaces (i.e. HBaseAdmin, ReplicationAdmin, HTable, HRegionInfo, etc. etc.). Are there any specific parts that you are especially worried about? Otherwise, I am not sure what else to do.
