[jira] Created: (WODEN-129) SOAP binding extention should support query separator and query separator default

SOAP binding extention should support query separator and query separator default
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: WODEN-129
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WODEN-129
             Project: Woden
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Keith Godwin Chapman
            Priority: Blocker

Hi,

The resolotion of CR 113 [1] states that query separator and query separator default properties should be imported to the SOAP binding extention. The LocationTemplate-1G WSDL needs this property. I tried looking for it in the API but did not find it. Is it to be implemented? If its not done so far can we have it in the API please. Its blocking us from generating the logs for this test case.

Thanks,
Keith

John Kaputin commented on WODEN-129:
------------------------------------

Keith,
I think Woden is functioning correctly. There's a spelling mistake in the WSDL, so the attribute is being parsed as an UnknownExtensionAttribute and the {http query parameter separator default} extension property is defaulting to ampersand "&".

In the binding "MixedPathsQueryParams",
whttp:queryParameterSeparaterDefault=";"
should be spelt
whttp:queryParameterSeparatorDefault=";"

i.e. 'Separater' should be spelt 'Separator'

I will post to the ws-desc mailing list to have this corrected.

Hi John,

Thanks for your prompt response. I tested these properties using LocationTemplate-1G WSDL. the soapBindingOperationExtensions.getHttpQueryParameterSeparator() works fine. But soapBindingExtensions.getHttpQueryParameterSeparatorDefault() always returns &. It is not picking the property correctly.

Thanks,
Keith

The Part 2 spec has not been updated yet to implement the solution for CR113, so based on what I think it will be I'll make these additions to the Woden SOAP extensions API:

SOAPBindingExtensions.getHttpQueryParameterSeparatorDefault()

SOAPBindingOperationExtensions.getHttpQueryParameterSeparator()
