MySQL persistence store

We are planning to switch to MariaDB Galeria Cluster as persistence store for
ActiveMQ from current KahaDB.  Is anyone running ActiveMQ with MariaDB as
backed and want to share their experience?  I am specifically interested in
knowing how much database size to allocate, any indexes to create for better
performance, any specific maintenance tasks that need to be run regularly
and in general any potential issues that we might face by using database as
persistence store.
