[jira] [Commented] (LEGAL-111) Are OASIS or W3C schema files OK to include in Apache releases?

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-111?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13152940#comment-13152940 ]

Rob Weir commented on LEGAL-111:
--------------------------------

There was a thread on this earlier: http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/www-legal-discuss/201111.mbox/browser

As I understood it, since the standards do not allow modification, we may include them in binary releases, but not source releases.

See: http://www.apache.org/legal/resolved.html#no-modification
