[jira] [Created] (HIVE-5640) Overriden configs in CLI does not override configuration in Hadoop

Nikolay created HIVE-5640:
-----------------------------

             Summary: Overriden configs in CLI does not override configuration in Hadoop
                 Key: HIVE-5640
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-5640
             Project: Hive
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Metastore
    Affects Versions: 0.12.0, 0.11.0
            Reporter: Nikolay

It is impossible to override hadoop configs through CLI

In the CLI:
hive> set fs.swift.service.myservice.username;
fs.swift.service.myservice.username is undefined

hive> set fs.swift.service.myservice.username=admin;
hive> set fs.swift.service.myservice.username;
fs.swift.service.myservice.username=admin

hive> create table simple_table(field STRING) location 'swift://container.myservice/input/';
FAILED: Execution Error, return code 1 from org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.exec.DDLTask. MetaException(message:Got exception: org.apache.hadoop.fs.swift.exceptions.SwiftConfigurationException Missing mandatory configuration option: fs.swift.service.savanna.username)

But defining this property in hive-site.xml permanently and then restarting metastore service does effect.
