Tomcat3.2beta6 and SSL Sessions not working

This is related to the following setup:
Apache + mod_ssl + mod_jk + Tomcat 3.2 beta 6 (with linux x86)
I just tried Tomcat 3.2 beta 6 and was happy about redirects are now
working.
 (https://hostname instead of http://hostname:443)
 but now Sessions using URL-rewriting are not working anymore.

Any suggestion or is this a bug?
