On editing the JIRA 'description' field

I was editing the 'description' field on a JIRA today and whenever the
field lost focus it would commit the results back to the server. Every
commit sends an email to issues@ with the diff. The results of this can
range from a minor annoyance to embarrassment depending on the intermediate
state of what you are authoring. :-) On another recent JIRA it looks like
another user fell afoul of this.

Probably best to write up what you want to go in this field in a text
editor and cut-and-paste in only when it's in a shape to go out.
