Technical precisions
====================
system : 2.4.20-gentoo-r6
sun-jdk-1.4.2-06-b03
cocoon-2.1.6
tomcat-5.0.27-r4
Method used
===========
As written in INSTALL-SRC.txt
- i unpacked cocoon (in /usr/share/cocoon)
- i unpacked lenya (in /usr/share/lenya)
- copied the local.build.properties and local.blocks properties of lenya in the cocoon directory
- built cocoon with ./build.sh
- built lenya after copying build.properties in local.builproperties and set cocoon directory, wepapp server, tomcat directory and tomcat webapp directory
Another lenya (olderversion) is running on the same machine on another tomcat webappdirectory : can it be a sort of conflict ?
Best regards.

Thank you very much for the link. The endorsed library where in the good
place, but there were other instances in other directories to remove, as
explained in the document. Now it works perfectly !
Best regards.

you need to copy endorsed libraries to tomcat as described here:

Hi list,
it seems to have many problems with our tomcat today.
After some stops and starts, no more message, but no lenya publication
too.
i get this :

Maybe it misses something to get the lenya default publication running.
Error by setting lenya/build.sh ?
Any idea to fix the problem ?
Regards,
annie
