encoding

HI! There
I am trying to display some Japanese text inside my XSL.  My XSL has
following element 

<xsl:output method="html" encoding="Shift_JIS"/> followed by <xsl:stylesheet
........>

But It is chopping of entire portion of text before the Japanese TEXT and
not displaying the Japanese TEXT either.

Please take a look at the attached files(QuotesAndResearch.xsl) and look for
"Japanese TEXT".

Any help would be appreciated.
