Client side authentication by a SOAP

Hi all,

I am investigating on ways to strongly authenticate the client in SOAP transactions. SSL with client certificates implementation seems to be a good way to do it.

- Does anybody have an integrated view on SSL support by SOAP clients and servers implementations in the Java and Microsoft environments ?

- Does anybody know how the client identity derived from the client certificate can be passed to the SOAP service as a group of arguments ?
