[jira] [Commented] (RYA-42) populate website for Rya

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RYA-42?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15228721#comment-15228721 ]

Adina Crainiceanu commented on RYA-42:
--------------------------------------

I have a basic website working, based on the Apache website template, using jekyll.
You can get an idea about how it looks like at http://www.usna.edu/Users/cs/adina/ryawebsite/target/

My current plan:
1. check in the generated site into the asf-site branch of the rya website repo, so at last we have a reasonable site
2. check in the source of the website into the master branch of the rya website repo
3. need some automatic way to re-generate the website when the source changes. I'm not sure yet how to do that. Advice is appreciated.

> Create the website for Rya, to be available at rya.incubator.apache.org
> ideas:
> 1) use Jekyll
> 2) there is an Apache website template available at https://github.com/apache/apache-website-template/ so we could use it
