Brotli is a compression algorithm based on a modern variant of the LZ77 algorithm, Huffman coding and 2nd order context modeling.  It produces smaller compressed sizes at costs comparable to deflate.

I have a working [ICompressor implementation|https://github.com/eevans/cassandra-brotli] which has received a fair amount of testing already. I'll follow up shortly with a Cassandra changeset(s) for review.
