[jira] [Commented] (LEGAL-260) Zope Public License v2 compatibility with the Apache License.

Justin Mclean commented on LEGAL-260:
-------------------------------------

INAL but looks like category A to me [1][2]. A license pointer would need to be added to LICENSE just like other permissive licenses.

Do note the requirement to list dates of changes to any files with this license.

> Hi,
> We are considering using code that is licensed under the Zope Public License.
> It seems similar to a BSD license but with a few more restrictions. I was wondering about compatibility with the Apache license.
> I have searched the LEGAL JIRA, but found no mention of Zope. I have also searched the legal-discuss@ archives, but without much success. It seems that zope python packages are used by a few projects, which makes me hopeful, but I would love to get a more definitive answer.
> Thank you so much for the work that you are doing.
> Best,
> Arthur
