DOM005 Wrong document

Well - I've been developing fairly smoothly with Xerces over the past few
weeks - and now I've tried to do something painfully simple and I get the
following error:
org.w3c.dom.DOMException: DOM005 Wrong document

All I'm trying to do is check a simple document for well-formedness - not
validate it:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<testResponse>This is a test</testResponse>

Any ideas what would be causing this?

Thanks,

- Brent

Hi, Brent
Normally, you would get "Wrong Document" exception if you are trying to
do smth with a node which 'belongs' to another document.
Are you working with 2 DocumentImpl? If yes, check if you are not using
any nodes from doc1 in doc2.

Btw, I am not exactly sure what are U trying to do (how your code looks)
so I am just guessing here....
