compilation error in master
Hi,
I get compilation errors while building the master branch
[ERROR] COMPILATION ERROR :
[INFO] -------------------------------------------------------------
[ERROR] /Users/pbarna/Desktop/apache-source/atlas/intg/src/main/java/org/apache/atlas/model/SearchFilter.java:[20,32] package com.sun.jersey.core.util does not exist
The jersey-core lib (v 1.19) is there in my local maven repo.
jersey-core is not present in the intg project pom.xml as a dependency.
It can only be found in the parent pom under dependencyManagement
If I add jersey-core to the dependencies of the intg project, it will compile.
What am I missing here?
Thx

This was just my env. I had to delete my .m2 dir and then I was able to build the project.
Sorry for the noise.

Hi Peter
No need to apologise - I find this interesting - it's not clear to me why
clearing out your .m2 would fix this so there is obviously something that
I don't understand.
I would have expected intg to need the dependency (with the
dependencyManagement entry in the root pom specifying the version). But I
would have presumed that if jersey was available in the local repo the
depedency would be satisfied, else it would be downloaded. Was it that the
version of jersey in your local repo was back-level? I think this is
interesting because quite a few times recently people have reported that
clearing their .m2 repo was critical to getting a successful build, so I'd
like to understand what is going on.
Best regards,
Graham
