[jira] Created: (AMQ-2545) Broker does not start at all if multicast discovery of other brokers is enabled, and network cable is unplugged while trying to start broker

Broker does not start at all if multicast discovery of other brokers is enabled, and network cable is unplugged while trying to start broker
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: AMQ-2545
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/AMQ-2545
             Project: ActiveMQ
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Broker
    Affects Versions: 5.3.0
         Environment: java 1.6.17
spring 2.5.6
Windows XP
            Reporter: Antti Kallonen

If we try to start broker when there is no network cable on the machine where broker is running, the broker throws an exception and dies. This happens with multicast discovery. If the broker is configured to use static IP:s, then the broker does not crash at startup. We are using the broker in network of brokers configuration in store and forward mode.
