[Roller-JIRA] Commented: (ROL-1487) Restore permalink display to Weblog Edit page

Allen Gilliland commented on ROL-1487:
--------------------------------------

I have actually been against putting that link back for draft entries because I think it's confusing to entry authors to have a link on the page which is supposed to be broken.

I have also checked a couple other blog systems to see how they do it (MT and WordPress) and in both cases they do not provide a link to the entry until it is published. So IMO this is the more expected behavior and we should stick to it.

The *only* possible case that I could come up with where this would be handy is if someone was publishing multiple entries at the same time and wanted to interlink between them before actually marking them as published, but the use cases for that are very limited and so I think the current behavior is what's best for most users.

> It is *very* useful to be able to see the full entry permalink for both published and draft entries, as we were able to before the Struts 2 migration. This feature should be restored.
