Using KVM
I have KVM/libvirt installed and have the DB and web components
installed in VMs on top of KVM/libvirt. I am in the process of
installing the management node in another VM. I am not sure how to
configure things so that it will use KVM rather tham ESX which is what
I have been using. Has anyone got a working installation using KVM and
do they have any notes to guide me?
Note: unfortunately my latest playground hardware is not supported by
ESX/ESXi. So I am "playing" with the KVM/libvirt support.

Mark
Here is my notes on KVM in VCL 2.3. There are also emails in Jun archive, as I communicated with the group.
I made some changes to the VCL for KVM imaging/reservation (link below).
The changes may not be necessary but I couldn't make it work without.
Link to public dropbox file, since PDF attachments are stripped:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ydpx1dfl0fao0zt/BSwNSQfRse/VCL/vclblog-2012-06-21-libvirt_support_in_vcl_2.3%20-%20VCL%40GMU.pdf
I've used couple guides to configure KVM. One of them - http://www.howtoforge.com/virtualization-with-kvm-on-a-centos-6.0-server
The host OS is CentOS 6 in minimal install.
Thanks.

Hi Mark,
Try this link:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/VCL/KVM+Configuration
Still in process of migrating and arranging content to the new site.
It's slow going as a lot of it has to be copied in a section at a
time.

In particular, I am looking for documentation like "Further steps if
using only VMWare" on
https://cwiki.apache.org/VCL/vcl-23-installation.html
