Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: MAVEN-184
Summary: jar:install-snapshot does not copy a jar with a timestamped name
Type: Bug
Status: Assigned
Priority: Trivial
Time Spent: Unknown
Estimate: 0 minutes
Project: maven
Component: plugin-java
Versions:
1.0-beta-8
Assignee: Jason van Zyl
Reporter: Dan Diephouse
Created: Wed, 1 Jan 2003 7:44 PM
Updated: Wed, 1 Jan 2003 7:46 PM
Environment: Windows XP, Java 1.4.1
Description:
The jar:install-snapshot goal copies the snapshot jar as jarname-SNAPSHOT.jar instead of jarname-DATE.TIME.jar. It should either copy the jar as jarname-SNAHPSHOT and jarname-DATE.TIME.jar or copy it with the name jarname-DATE.TIME.jar, since this is the correct way to name snapshot jars in maven.
