Hive-site.xml is not present

Hi all,

I have downloaded hive-0.8.1 and even hive-0.9.0,
after extracting it I found that
hive-site.xml
is not present in conf directory.

only four files are present i.e

1) hive-default.xml.template
2) hive-env.sh.template
3) hive-exec-log4j.properties.template
4) hive-log4j.properties.template.

Please suggest

Regards
Yogesh Kumar

Hello Yogesh,

That is quite normal. Actually all the required properties
are present in hive-default.xml file. The purpose of hive-site.xml is
to override the properties present in hive-default.xml file. So, if
you want to specify the configuration properties of your choice just
create a file with name hive-site.xml and list down the properties you
want to override.

    Mohammad Tariq
