Catalina 4.0.2 hangs after a few days
Summary: Catalina 4.0.2 hangs after a few days
Product: Tomcat 4
Version: 4.0.2 Final
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: Critical
Priority: Other
Component: Catalina
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: jarecsni.janos@chello.hu
We are using Catalina embedded in JBoss 2.4.4. Formerly we used TC 3.2.3 with
JBoss 2.4.1: they had been up and running for weeks without any problem.
Now this version of Catalina hangs after 2-5 days of operating. Although I kill
the JBoss-Catalina server there's always one thread (process) remains, which is
a Catalina thread. It cannot be killed with kill -9.
This is regular, so since we have this upgrade, we had no normal shutdowns, and
the server needs to be restarted in every few days.
We use Apache in front, using the mod_jk connector.
Hope this will soon be resolved, since it's now a major threat to us, since our
website is in production for a while now.
Cheers
Jnos
PS: heard 4-5 other people complaining about similar issue.
