[jira] Commented: (SM-1768) JMX-enable configuration of certain endpoint properties such as the "concurrentConsumers" property on the smx-jms:consumer

    [ https://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/SM-1768?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=48763#action_48763 ]

Guillaume Nodet commented on SM-1768:
-------------------------------------

RFC0139 is just about managing the OSGi framework itself and does not define anything else.
So it allows all operations on bundles along with inspecting bundles, services and packages. An MBean for the Config Admin is also available to be able to change configuration properties.
So I don't think it would really help here.

> I currently use Spring PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer to externalize the configuration of endpoint properties values such as the smx-jms:consumer concurrentConsumers property. I would like to be able to use JMX to change the concurrentConsumer property value on an endpoint at runtime (which is supported by Spring JMS).
> Would it make sense to leverage SMX4KNL-171 (Include RFC0139 (JMX management of OSGi)) to implement such a feature?
