Hi Everyone,

I'm looking in the doco for live block migration in cloudstack 4.2,
example we want to migrate a vm from a low performance lun
to a fast storage, is this possible inside cloudstack ?

Simple answer - Yes

You can migrate the root volume of any VM in a shutdown state to another Primary Storage - SSVM copies it to Secondary first, then back to the new Primary.

Alternatively, if you happen to be using XenServer 6.2, then you can use the Storage Motion feature and live migrate the VM.

Your only gotcha might be if you are using storage tags to differentiate between the two tiers of storage.
