Eclipse Public License 1.0

Hello Sir/Madam,

I am planning to use one of the EPL 1.0 based library/framework [1] in one of the Apache incubator project.

I just wanted to make sure whether i can use EPL 1.0 based project's source (to create an interface between two projects) inside Apache incubator project.

I would appreciate if you could let me know. Thanks in advance.

Hi Mubarak,

According to [1], "Software under the following licenses [including EPL
1.0] may be included in binary form within an Apache product if the
inclusion is appropriately labeled". Based on this, my recommendation is
the following:

* Use only the binary artifacts as the policy prescribes.
* Update the NOTICE file to state that the project includes software
licensed under EPL 1.0.
* Update the LICENCE file to include the full EPL 1.0 license text. See [2]
for example.
