[jira] Created: (CAMEL-1918) camel-twitter - A Twitter component

camel-twitter - A Twitter component
-----------------------------------

                 Key: CAMEL-1918
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/CAMEL-1918
             Project: Apache Camel
          Issue Type: New Feature
            Reporter: Claus Ibsen
             Fix For: Future

I think we should add a twitter component to Camel as we got IRC, XMPP etc.

Twitter4j is a BSD style license
http://yusuke.homeip.net/twitter4j/en/index.html#introduction

That looks to be compatible with Apache according to this
http://www.apache.org/legal/3party.html

And there are some people that have developed a camel twitter integration
http://blog.brunoborges.com.br/2009/03/leverage-eip-with-apache-camel-and.html

So its maybe just a matter of having it donated to Apache if the author is interested or we could build a new one as it should not be that hard.
