I tried to install Java 8 on OFBIZ-VM by following 

http://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2015/01/install-openjdk-8-ubuntu-14-04-12-04-lts/ 

but got 

ofbizDemo@ofbiz-vm:/home/jleroux$ add-apt-repository ppa:openjdk-r/ppa
The program 'add-apt-repository' is currently not installed.  To run 'add-apt-repository' please ask your administrator to install the package 'python-software-properties'

after jleroux@ofbiz-vm:~$ sudo -s -u ofbizDemo -H
of course.

Is there a another way?
