   Likely the issue was cython dependency missing as per message

   It fails even though I installed cython.

   ```
   $ uv pip list | grep cython
   Using Python 3.10.12 environment at: /home/ubuntu/data/sandbox/.venv
   cython                   3.0.12
   ```

   I met similar issue on the conda environment, my workaround is to install cython via `pip install cython` on both on conda env and the host machine (before activate the env). unsure if this works for you

   do you mind dig a bit into it? Since the runtim error was pretty sure that Cython was not available. Maybe related to cython in one env but not being picked up?
