2.0.28 and ldap

Hi,

I just recognized that there was support for ldap
in the 2.0.x release. But then it went off to its
own module http-ldap.

I tried to copy the sources into the httpd tree.
autoconf and configure worked. But it didn't
compile. Is there a chance to get it back on
the road (maybe some special compile option)?
Or are their alternatives?
