[jira] [Resolved] (HADOOP-2069) DFS Summary Page

Harsh J resolved HADOOP-2069.
-----------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed

Aside from what was done in HADOOP-4029, as explained in the previous comment, the *right* way is to query the node statuses from the APIs and not scrape webpages to achieve those.

This is indeed possible (having helped build a dfs summary page/widget before at work) without jsp scraping, and does not require anything beyond a couple of rpc calls at most.

Resolving as not a problem.

> DFS Summary Page
> ----------------
>
> Key: HADOOP-2069
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-2069
> Project: Hadoop Common
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: util

> DFS Summary page should consists of the DFS summary data and *links* to Live Datanodes and Dead datanodes instead of loading "all nodes" information in one page. It would be great if you can give the summary in XML format also.
