That IS a cool calendar. Hope somebody makes it Tapestry-enabled (maybe
I will try sometime).

Thats O'Reilly site and not Jakarta Apache site. I do not
question the authority of Jakarta Apache to outlawed LGPL.
My question is why they do not put a page in their site about this?

Maybe this can be clarified in an URL. Because Jakarta Apache is a
very reputable and influential organization in Java Open Source
movement. Many people want to include their Java Open Source
projects in Jakarta. An explanation of what kind of license
accepted by Jakarta Apache Group will prevent the hassle of
project founder to change their license.

I can't find a page either. There was an issue with the wording of the LGPL,
which isn't supposed to be viral like GPL. But the wording was too
ambiguous.

It was a popular topic on the Apache mailing lists right around the time
when Tapestry moved over to Jakarta as the initial import of Tapestry CVS
into Apache's contained jars licensed under LGPL.

Lemme see if I can find some references in the archives..

http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.jakarta.general/4810/match=lgpl
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.jakarta.general/3864/match=lgpl

Here are two I found right off the bat. There are many more.

Why Apache outlawed LGPL? Is there a place in Apache site that
I can read their reasoning why they outlawed LGPL? If there is
no URL in Apache site explaining the reason they outlawed LGPL.
