This is caused by tabs in the file, and different default tab expansions in different contexts. Although I normally have the Eclipse setting "Replace tabs with spaces" to avoid this, that only works for new tabs.  It's easy to fix, though, see: http://help.eclipse.org/helios/index.jsp?topic=%2Forg.eclipse.photran.doc.user%2Fhtml%2Fbasic%2FWritingCode.html and search for tabs.
