Jackrabbit 2.6.4 and Ms Office for WebDAV

Dear community,

I am a great fan of Jackrabbit and therefore I want to use Jackrabbit 2.6.4
with WebApp as a WebDAV backend. The client would be mainly MS Word 2010.
Are there any experiences or best practises
with jackrabbit WebDAV and MS Office?
Is there also a hook/callback that i could use inside jackrabbit core to
track version changes on WebDAV side?
