[jira] [Created] (DISCOVERY-24) Recover deleted files with Recuva

zenith sez created DISCOVERY-24:
-----------------------------------

Summary: Recover deleted files with Recuva
                 Key: DISCOVERY-24
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DISCOVERY-24
             Project: Commons Discovery
          Issue Type: Test
    Affects Versions: Nightly Builds
            Reporter: zenith sez
         Attachments: 1.jpg, 2nd.jpg

Recovering deleted files is an operation that could prove to be disarming ease, but at the same time almost impossible. In fact, if you have not affected that part on the physical disk where those files resided, then it is really all simpler, while if that part has been partially overwritten then it will be very hard to be able to reconstruct the part of the missing file.

When recovering photos, it often happens to be with photos recovered in the middle. Of course, we are talking about recovering accidentally deleted files.

To recover deleted files, there is truly exceptional software called Recuva. The software in question is really very simple to use and within everyone's reach. Personally he saved me from many desperate cases, even if in recovering files deleted by mistake there is always that question mark: you never know how it will end.

*How to use Recuva to recover deleted files.*

Important: never install Recuva on the device from which you have to recover the deleted files. This is because the device (the hard disk for example) must remain as intact as possible. In fact, if you install Recuva on the hard disk from which you have to recover files deleted by mistake, it is possible that Recuva goes to overwrite those memory partitions where your files were and the recovery will be in vain.

My advice is to install Recuva or any other [data recovery|https://uaetechnician.ae/hard-drive-data-recovery] program on a pen drive. To do this there is the portable version that you can download here. It is a compressed file that you can unzip directly into your pen drive or in a folder of it.

Once this is done we start the program. And going forward we will come to this screen:

*_1st Image Here_*

Once we get to this screen we select the type of file you want to recover. If the files are of a different type, select "Other". And this will appear to you:

*2nd Image Here*

Now select the directory (or folder) where you want to recover the files, I used C: \ Documents.

You will get to another screen where you will select the "Enable deep scan" option which means "enable deep scan", and then press "Start". After the scan, the files that can be recovered will pop up. Choose the ones that interest you and press the "Recover" button.

As you can see, everything is very simple, including the procedure for [recovering deleted files|https://uaetechnician.ae/recover-deleted-files-android].
