[FlexJS] Maven compiler build error
Hi,
I followed the maven build instructions [1] step by step. At step 4.d.
"Build the compiler" I get some errors [2] and it seems for me that the
build fails.
Did I miss something?

It might be a good idea to be extra specific with terminology here, to
avoid confusion. The plugin and ActiveX versions that developers install in
their browser can easily be referred to as the "debug player" too because
that version supports connecting to the debugger. The version of Flash
Player that regular people install does not.
Adobe calls the standalone executable version that we need here the "Flash
Player projector content debugger". It's a mouthful, for sure, but it
exactly matches the correct download option when someone follows the link
to Adobe's site in the instructions. I suggest we call it by this same name.

I think I have even more ... Justin recorded my Maven Training at the last ApacheCon US 2016 in Vancouver. I think the video should be almost finished. We are planning on making this public, so you guys should be able to get up to speed with Maven in about 1:53 :-)

Maybe it makes sense to include an example path
(C:\local\flash-utils\flashplayer_22_sa_debug.exe ) to the wiki so that
idiots like me don't fall in this pitfall ;-)

Puhhh... still no success :-(
I've downloaded the "flashplayer_22_sa_debug.exe", updated the environment
variable and tried to build the compiler again. I also restarted my computer
in the meantime.
Same error message: "The flashplayer executable C:\local\flash-utils doesn't
exist."
I've attached a screenshot [1] from the maven log and my explorer where you
can see that the debug player file is in place...
Any ideas?

I think you have the wrong exe
FLASHPLAYER_DEBUGGER should be pointed at something like
filepathto/flashplayer_22_sa_debug.exe

I think you have the wrong exe
FLASHPLAYER_DEBUGGER should be pointed at something like

Ups... seems it's my fault and that there some problems to find the

Well actually all Unit Test pass on Maven. I have taken a lot of time to get them working.
What's not working are some tests that would require stuf that is built later during the build. But that's just a hand full.
Unfortunately you didn't post the real error ... that ususally is printed before the "BUILD FAILURE" part. I guess there are problems with the Environment variable pointing to the Flash player Debugger.
Could you post the first about 50 lines before the BUILD FAILURE notice? Then we would at least know which tests are failing.
