internal error while updating sparse working copy (SVN 1.8.1)
The message was reported by TortoiseSVN during the update of a sparse working copy (while downloading to the WC several files/MB).
OS: XP SP3
SVN Server: v1.7.8
Tortoise/SVN client 1.8.1
I repeated the operation after cleaning up the WC and it completed successfully.

The issue most likely fixed by r1503318:
[[[
ra_serf: Do not retry HTTP requests if we started to parse them. There is
absolutely no guarantee that REPORT or PROPFIND responses will be equal for
every request. Especially with taking to account hash randomization.
]]]
Revision is nominated for backport and should be available in Subversion 1.8.2.
