Starting release procedure for BookKeeper 4.8.0
Hi,
I am going to prepare the first RC for BookKeeper 4.8.0.
I think branch-4.8 is ready to go.
Please check if you have last minute fixes to add to 4.8 and ping me.
I am preparing the release notes, it will take time, it is a major release
and there is a lot of stuff to check.
@Sijie
I am note sure about the StreamStorage part and how to package the server.
Cheers
Enrico

I was waiting for JV's fix and currently I have some problem with docker on
my laptop.
I would like to cut the RC tomorrow.

Enrico,
How's going with 4.8.0 release? It seems being paused?

I think there was a discussion about that. I think it is okay to drop
'stream' profile in master.
But I don't think we need to change branch-4.8.

I see,
this is done when you perform a full build with
mvn clean install -Dstream
I did not check the scripts, I imagine the release procedure will add
'-Dstream' to every command.
I wonder if it is better to drop the 'stream' profile now, on master and
even on branch-4.8, to make things simplers.

You don't need to do separate packaging. bookkeeper-dist already packages
related dependencies.
