SOAP with JAXP compatible parser

did this come through? Our mail server seems to be flaky today.

Hi all,

I started this discussion on the soap-user list. I'm new to the soap-dev
list.

I'm working on modifying Apache SOAP to work with any JAXP compliant parser
as a replacement for the XMLParserLiaison (and, in particular, as a
replacement for the direct use of xerces throughout the code).

I'm making good progress. At the moment I have an implementation that I've
tested on the client side with a quick and dirty wrapper for the Oracle XML
Parser V2. (The SUN parser code name crimson does not work, that's subject
for later discussion.) Next on my agenda is testing on both client and
server side with the xerces parser. I'm a little stuck here because I
cannot find the JAXP compatible version of xerces. Based on earlier
discussion I understood that this implementation exists. I've downloaded
xerces 2.0.0 alpha and I see that the JAXP classes are included in the
distribution but I do not see the apache specific implementations of those
abstract classes. Anyone know where I find those?

Thanks,
Ruth.
