[jira] [Created] (MESOS-96) Support adjusting the resources of a running executor

Support adjusting the resources of a running executor
-----------------------------------------------------

                 Key: MESOS-96
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MESOS-96
             Project: Mesos
          Issue Type: Wish
            Reporter: Charles Reiss
            Priority: Minor

Currently, executors can reserve some amount of resources, but this amount of resources cannot be changed except by restarting the executor or placing "dummy" tasks to reserve additional resources. It might be nice if frameworks could adjust the usage of their executors without killing them (for example, to use additional offered memory that becomes available or free up space in hopes of getting offered resources elsewhere).
