[jira] [Resolved] (GUACAMOLE-57) New connection type "HTTP/HTTPS"
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-57?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]
Michael Jumper resolved GUACAMOLE-57.
-------------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Do
Closing this for now as out of scope. The scope of the Apache Guacamole project [as established at time of graduation|https://www.apache.org/foundation/records/minutes/2017/board_minutes_2017_11_15.txt] is:
{quote}
... the creation and maintenance of software related to providing performant, browser-based remote access
{quote}
If anyone feels that this really is within scope of the project, feel free to reopen and let us know why, however please keep in mind that just because a piece of software could conceivably be integrated with Guacamole in a beneficial way does not mean that said software is within scope of the Guacamole project itself.

> I would love to see a new connection type "HTTP/HTTPS" Kind of like a web proxy.
> I use this tool for remote administration. Being able to access local only Admin Web pages would make this very useful.
> Some firewalls have web only management, Intranets, Local web apps, could all be accessed through this tool.
> I think this would be a killer addition.
> By the way this is an amazing program thanks for all the hard work on this project.
