Summary: Child order changes with cut and paste
Product: Lenya
Version: Trunk
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Site Management
AssignedTo: dev@lenya.apache.org
ReportedBy: mangst@inventec.ch
If you cut and paste a subtree, the order of its children changes. Steps to
reproduce:
- build clean / build
- import example content
- go to site tab
- note the order of the children of subtree "Resource type examples": X/L/O/C
- cut subtree "Resource type examples"
- select subtree "Tutorials"
- paste subtree "Resource type examples"
- note the order of the children of subtree "Resource type examples" has changed
to: C/O/X/L (or whatever; i feel like getting a different order every time)

Thanks, Andreas!
Probably nitpicking, but:
- SiteUtil.getSubSite() has a JavaDoc comment that says "...all nodes which
require this node, in preorder". I guess this is wrong since getSubSite()
returns a NodeSet?

Good point, there is no explicit order in a node set. Maybe the javadoc comment
is from an older version with a different return type.
Apart from that, maybe we could get rid of the subsite stuff since
SiteNode.getChildren() was introduced.

------- Additional Comments From andreas@apache.org 2007-11-14 17:55 -------
The problem is that DocumentManagerImpl.copyAll() uses a NodeSet instead of a
preorder traversing.
