Chinna, I just opened HIVE-8790 for test hook_context_cs. This test case also specifies a hive.exec.post.hooks:
set hive.exec.post.hooks=org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.hooks.VerifyContentSummaryCacheHook;
While the hook itself works, some values that are checked in the test are not set up for a SparkTask (but for a MapRedTask). 
Maybe the issues are related?
