we can't generate hadoop-metircs by the method in chukwa-0.3.0's document. we cppy the metircs into hadoop-conf, and edit the metircs file according to document ,but it can't work.

There is a hadoop-metrics-template in 0.4.0 version. We write the hadoop metrics file referring to the template, and solve this issue.

Hrm. Do you still have the problem in Chukwa 0.4? Is there a reason you want to use 0.3, instead of 0.4?
