JMeter & OS tested

Hello,

On JMeter Get Started documentation, there are:

    JMeter is a 100% Java application and should run correctly on any
    system that has a compliant Java implementation.
    JMeter has been tested and works under:

        * Unix (Solaris, Linux, etc)
        * Windows (98, NT, XP, etc)
        * OpenVMS Alpha 7.3+

I would like update the OS list. Please can you confirm if JMeter works
on these platforms (with JVM 1.5+)

(for me, JMeter works with Linux, Win XP, Win 2003)

* Windows Vista
* Windows 7
* Windows Server 2008
* Mac OS X

OpenVMS 7.3 still a supported platform?

FreeBSD, NetBSD or OpenBSD? JMeter with appropriate JVM works?

AIX (IBM JVM)?

HP-UX (HP JVM) ?

Thanks for your feedback.

Milamber

We had ongoing problems with spam, so now you need to be registered to
update pages.
What is your Wiki login? We can easily add you to the list of allowed updaters.

Thanks.

If we do want to list the OSes that are being used to run JMeter, I
think it would be better to set up a page for this on the Wiki.
That would be much easier to maintain (and anyone could contribute).

OK?

Solaris Sparc with HotSpot JVM (Sun/Oracle) workes very well (at least
for JMeter 2.4).

Win98 and NT should be dropped.

I've not tried it on OpenVMS for a while; I expect it still works, but
I don't have access to a system on which I can try the GUI.

Solaris?

MVS?

I think we should just drop the OS list; just because we have not
tested it does not mean it won't work.
