[Periodicity] - Status (First event saved, JUnit finds first bug)
Hello everyone:
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up as to the status of periodicity.
We have been successful in saving a subset of the properties of an event
to a mysql database and I have just checked in a first cut of a set of
velocity templates that we can use to manipulate the objects in the
database. These templates do not yet work, but hopefully they will work
by the end of the week.
Last week I made some comments about checking in an overall design for
iTIP and CAP. Unfortunately, due to time constraints we have been unable
to get the design documents finished and keep on schedule for the 0.0.1
release.
Also, if you were watching the commits go by you might have saw where our
flegdling JUnit test suite caught its first bug. A hats off should go to
Mike George for doing the initial research and writing the first set
of tests. It is our hope that having a formal test suite of JUnit tests
will greatly enhance our reliability.
That is just about all that has been going on for the last week.
Thanks
Jeff Prickett
