Additional comment, we had a cannot find package__.js warning issue a while ago, this was as it seems to me resolved by the upgrade to dojo 0.4.1 sometime after Tomahawk 1.1.3.
(This was an error where dojo was issuing, __package__.js calls in the wrong places)
If you can try to move to following combination of files:
MyFaces 1.1.5, latest Tomahawk Trunk (a stable version will be out soon)
and latest sandbox trunk.

I've been digging more into it and I am figuring out that is a misconfiguration on WAS 6.1.0.2.
The issue is:

Well now the thing is that I am following this instructions (http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/Websphere_Installation ) in order to load first MyFaces JSF Implementations, but it seems that RI Implementation is loading first.
Any body has configured MyFaces on this version:
WAS 6.1.0.2.

In fact I already tried upgrading to the newest release, as of yesterday 03/20/07, using:
myfaces-api-1.1.6-SNAPSHOT.jar
myfaces-impl-1.1.6-SNAPSHOT.jar

And the problem continues.

I am not sure if this is a myfaces issue itself, I assume
some misconfiguration in websphere or a WAS classloader issue
the best bet for now is, to drop the question into the users list
so that more people can comment on it.

Well jira should not be used for discussions, if this comment does not resolve your problem, please
move the discussion into the myfaces users list.
Check your classpath for lingering jsf implementations. I once had to deal with WAS (an older version)
the main blocker was that in the shared jar dirs of the WAS there were lingering jsf implementations
(on a state between JSF 1.0 and 1.1)
those were loaded first, back then you could not even remove them by altering the loader hierarchy, you had to rip it out and replace it with MyFaces.
(the instructions in the wiki clearly also state that)
All I can say, is check for this and if the problem persists, move the question over to the myfaces users list, where people can comment on it with more experience on WAS.
I am resolving this issue now, this is a configuration problem on WAS, as it seems.
